Analytics
Google Analytics 4 is running on this site. It records pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived. It sets cookies in your browser to do so.
Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses and nothing collected is used to identify you personally by me. Aggregate figures are used only to understand which pages are useful and where visitors come from.
You can block it with any standard browser setting, extension or opt out tool, and the site works identically with it blocked.
The enquiry form
The contact form is processed by StaticForms, a third party form handler that passes the submission on by email. It collects the name, email address, website address, sector and message you type into it.
There is also a hidden honeypot field used to catch automated spam. If you are a person filling in the form normally, you will never see it or type into it.
Submissions arrive as email and are kept only as long as the enquiry or engagement is live, then deleted. They are never sold, shared or added to a marketing list.
Hosting and fonts
This is a static site. Pages are served as files with no database behind them and no account for you to create. Web server logs may record standard request information such as IP address and user agent.
Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore makes a request to a Google server when a page loads. That request is visible to Google in the same way any font request would be.
Your rights
How to ask for your data
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of any personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@seotelford.uk and say which of those you want.
Requests are answered within one month. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. That is the UK supervisory authority.
Lawful basis
Enquiry data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests, specifically responding to a business enquiry you chose to send. Analytics data is processed on the basis of consent given through your browser and cookie settings.
Changes to this policy
If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. It is not a document that gets written once and left to drift out of date.
